Test Ping Command in Windows / Why we use ping command

The ping command helps to verify IP-level connectivity. When troubleshooting,
you can use ping to send an  request to a target host name or IP address.
Use ping whenever you need to verify that a host computer can connect to
the TCP/IP network and network resources.

1.Click the Search icon (Windows button)  in the bottom left-hand corner and type "cmd" into the search bar.
2.Select the Command Prompt app - it will be at the top of the list of search results as the best match.
3. cmd prompt open.  Type “ping” and then hit the Space bar on your keyboard.
4.Type in the address you’d like to ping and then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. Wait for the ping results.
